I came to Mill Hill as a Music Scholar aged 13, having discovered this passion at a young age in the choir of Westminster Abbey. The School helped to nurture my interest by providing many opportunities to develop and perform, and I went on to secure a place at the Royal Northern College of Music. However, the seeds of a different career path had been sown, in part, through seizing the opportunity to work with Mill Hill’s Worldwide Partnership Scheme in Nicaragua during the sixth form – an experience that opened my eyes to a completely different world. I am now about to take up a place to study Politics & Development at university. Changing direction has been hard but rewarding. The courage I’ve found to take that step has increased my resolve to study the subject as well as to strive personally to make a difference in the world.
